Find does not work in webview panels
Pressing Ctrl+F or Cmd+F in a webview panel opened by an extension finds no matches, even when the text is visible.

Common causes
The editor find widget does not return matches in webview panels that extensions open in the editor area. The find box opens and accepts input, but it never returns matches or highlights text. This limitation affects any extension that displays content in a webview panel.
For example, in Bob with IBM i premium package, the webview that opens when you click Open output(s) after a compile does not respond to Ctrl+F (Windows and Linux) or Cmd+F (macOS).
Solutions
Search the output in the bottom panel
When the compile output first appears in the Terminal tab of the bottom panel, search it there instead of in the webview:
- Click in the output in the Terminal tab.
- Press Ctrl+F (Windows and Linux) or Cmd+F (macOS).
- Enter your search text.
Search in the Terminal tab works as expected. Only the webview that opens after you click Open output(s) is affected.
