Repositioning the Bob panel

The Bob panel might disappear or appear in an unexpected location after updates or workspace changes.

Common causes

  • Bob update: Layout settings may reset after updating
  • Workspace settings: Different workspaces might have different panel configurations
  • Manual repositioning: The panel was accidentally moved

Solutions

Move the Bob panel to the right sidebar

  1. In the top menu bar, click View > Appearance > Secondary Side Bar to enable the secondary sidebar.
  2. Verify that the secondary sidebar displays Drag a view here to display.. If the sidebar is blank, click View > Appearance > Secondary Side Bar to toggle it off, then click it again to toggle it back on until the drop area appears.
  3. Drag the Bob panel to the secondary sidebar on the right.
