Troubleshooting
Find solutions to common issues you might encounter while running a Bob for Z workflow with IBM Bob.
Large program handling
If Bob encounters issues when processing large COBOL or PL/I programs, increase the memory allocation for your IDE or the Z Understand server process.
Missing dependencies or incorrect file structure
If Bob cannot resolve copybooks or includes referenced by your program, verify that the copybook paths are correctly configured and that the referenced members are available in the directories or libraries Bob has access to.
Bulk data dictionary generation limitations
When generating data dictionaries for many programs at once, be aware that the bulk generation CLI has limits on the number of programs and total file size per run. Split large batches into smaller groups.
