Uninstall
Remove IBM Bob and all associated resources from your OpenShift cluster.
To remove IBM Bob from your cluster, complete the following steps in order. Each step depends on the previous one, so do not skip steps.
Delete the Bob CR and IDP CR
Delete the Bob custom resource and the identity provider custom resource. The --wait=false flag returns immediately without waiting for the deletion to complete.
oc delete -n <instance-namespace> bob/bob-cr bobidp/bob-idp --wait=falseRemove the IDP finalizer
The identity provider resource uses a finalizer that can block deletion. Remove it to allow the resource to be deleted:
oc patch bobidp/bob-idp \
-n <instance-namespace> \
--type=merge \
-p '{"metadata":{"finalizers":[]}}'Delete cluster resources
Choose an option based on how much you want to remove from the cluster.
This option removes the instance namespace and the operator namespace, but retains any cluster-scoped resources such as custom resource definitions (CRDs) and cluster roles.
oc delete namespace <instance-namespace>
oc delete namespace <operator-namespace>This option removes all cluster-scoped resources in addition to the instance and operator namespaces. Use this option when decommissioning the environment entirely.
oc delete -f release/work/cluster-resources.yaml --ignore-not-foundIf the release/work/cluster-resources.yaml file is not available, regenerate it before running the delete command:
./bobctl generate-cluster-resourcesTLS certificates
Configure external TLS certificates for IBM Bob self-hosted so that bob-ide and bob-shell clients can connect securely.
